FAQ Policies & bookings

Cancellations
Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment time and no shows will be charged 50% of the session fee. For exceptional circumstances please apply in writing for an exemption. Those on a Pilates pack will forfeit the missed class.

Medicare Rebate
We accept patients with a Team Care Arrangement (formally called an EPC) from their GP. Patients are required to pay upfront. You can then claim your rebate (if eligible) directly through Medicare. There is a gap payment.
-
Private health insurance
We are proud to say that all Hatched House services (excluding courses) qualify for a rebate with private health insurance extras; this obviously depends on your level of cover. You will have to check with your individual provider for details of your rebate. Patients are required to pay upfront for all services.
-
Do you see compensable clients?
We are a privately billing clinic and do not offer direct billing services for compensable programs such as NDIS, TAC, WorkCover, or DVA. If you are eligible for compensation, we would still be delighted to support you as a client. All invoices must be paid upfront by the client at the time of your appointment. Additionally, we do not provide supplementary report writing, quotes, or administrative services for compensation claims. Clients are responsible for managing their own claims and submissions.
-
Do I need a referral?
Written referral from a doctor is not required to attend Hatched House, or to claim a rebate from private health. A referral from your GP is necessary if you are claiming rebates through Medicare. This will only cover part of the treatment fee. Please send you referral prior to your appointment.
-
What should I bring with me?
If you have a referral or report please send this to us before your appointment. Of course, children and babies can attend your appointment.
-
Will my records be confidential?
Yes. Hatched House adheres to the Federal Privacy Act, which encompasses 10 National Privacy Principles which govern the management of client’s health information.
-
Pelvic Floor Assessment
With our pelvic health physiotherapists (only) an internal vaginal or rectal assessment may be offered, to assess your pelvic floor function. You can expect a sensitive approach and an individually tailored treatment and management plan. You are ALWAYS able to decline a pelvic floor exam and it will only be offered if your qualified physiotherapist thinks it is beneficial.
-
Is it ok if I have my period at my pelvic floor appointment?
Yes. Our pelvic health physiotherapists are able to assess and treat women when they are menstruating. However, you never have to have an internal vaginal exam, if you do not want one.
-
Do you do gift vouchers?
Yes. You can buy gift vouchers HERE. These will be sent as an e-gift voucher, or you can pick up a hardcopy card from our clinic. Please call reception to organize this. We do not post gift certificates. They are valid for 3 years after purchase.
